Tracy Metro (yes, that IS her real name) began designing interiors in the US when she was a teenager. While her girlfriends read Seventeen Magazine, Tracy flipped through Elle Décor and Architectural Digest, cutting out pictures of high-fashion interiors! She studied set design at New York University’s TISCH School of the Arts, but soon discovered “budget-bespoke interiors” to be more of her life’s calling.

Tracy and her “dame on a dime” design sensibility have been on UK’s Channel 5 with her own show called House Doctor, Oprah Winfrey Network’s Home Made Simple, Hallmark’s Home & Family, TLC’s Designing Spaces, HGTV’s Posh Pets, HGTV.com’s Extreme Small Spaces, NBC’s Today Show, Reelz Channel’s Beverly Hills Pawn, SpacesTV’s I Live with My Mom and SheKnows.com’s Home Emergency, just to name a few. Additionally, she has been a spokesperson for various Fortune 100 companies associated with home interiors and DIY makeovers.

Based in Los Angeles, Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband, Marty, CEO at UsedCardboardBoxes.com, and their street-find Chihuahua, Bernie. You can often find them on their 1975 houseboat, the Retro Metro, where Tracy encourages folks to just pop on by anytime for one of her personally infused vodka cocktails!
